The Mark It to Market project provides technical assistance to value added agricultural producers to prepare their products for entry into wholesale markets in order to increase profitability for entrepreneurs throughout Nebraska.
This project is designed to assist small vendors with a minimal amount of products to be able to purchase a few UPC codes without needing to buy an entire block. Pricing is $20 per UPC and a $5 renewal fee each year following that. Businesses must remain GROW Nebraska members to continue to purchase the UPCs at the discounted rate.
"I wanted to let you know that thanks to GROW's help getting UPC codes, we now have our products at Hy-Vee (132nd and Dodge) and the Durham Museum in downtown Omaha! We are also talking iwth the children's museum and the zoo! Thanks so much for all you guys do!" -Amy Fitl, Trachanoids Books, Toys and Games
This project is funded in part by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development administered by the Nebraska Rural Development Commission.

The Grocery Store Initiative connects high growth potential Nebraska companies with large volume buyers. Companies learn the ins and outs of selling in pallets instead of cases.
In July of 2010, GROW Nebraska sponsored their first wholesale tasting with Russ's B&R Stores. Twenty-one GROW Nebraska members participated, showing their products to managers and buyers for Russ's and Super Saver. The goal was to increase awareness for grocery store buyers of Nebraska products while allowing Nebraska businesses a forum to showcase their products.
GROW Nebraska held a second event in July of 2011, in which nine members participated, and a third in November of 2011 in which nine members participated. The next event is scheduled for July 17, 2012.
