A message from GROW Nebraska™ Founder & CEO Janell Anderson Ehrke
Thank you for your interest in the 2010 GROW Nebraska Product Evaluation Session. The product evaluation is one of GROW Nebraska’s™ most valuable services. Please note you do not need to be a GROW Nebraska™ member or attend the MarkeTech conference to participate in the evaluation. GROW Nebraska™ assembles a panel that consists of five industry experts. In past years, GROW Nebraska™ has been able to document that the judges have purchased over $15,000 worth of product from seeing it in this jury process.
We would like to stress that the product evaluation can be of great benefit to your business, even if you only sell retail. The goal is to provide you with suggestions on how you may improve your product or where you should be selling your product. The result of the product evaluation is to add to your business’s bottom line and increase your income. Product evaluation fees are $15 for members and $25 for non-members. There are a variety of forms needed for participation; we are including a checklist to assist you in completing your application.
If you have any questions regarding the product evaluation process or have questions regarding the judge’s comments, please contact GROW Nebraska™. The actual jury session is closed to all participating businesses, only the products and judges are allowed in the room with an outside independent evaluator. This allows the judges to remain anonymous, and to freely and honestly write down their suggestions and opinions. Many businesses have greatly benefited from these comments.
"I got a lot of nice comments about Prairie Breeze's products, but the critical juror who gave me the lowest ratings provided the most useful feedback. The "Price" comments were very useful because I've been told I price the products far too low, but to hear from retailers that the prices were appropriate was very reassuring. There is very little competition against which I could judge my pricing. Of course, very little competition is a good thing."
