GROW on the Go

GROW Nebraska has made it easy to "GROW on the Go". We now have a mobile app that can be downloaded and viewed on your smart phones. The app is specifically geared to load quickly and perform well on iPhone, Android and BlackBerry.
To download scan the QR code here or open your phone browser and go to
grownebraska.moblicate.com. At the bottom of the screen choose the operating system of your phone and follow the instructions.
Now that you have GROW on your phone you can access information at any time, even while traveling. You will have access to all of our social media sites, events, locations, products, members and contact information.
Our app was created by
Moblicate, one of our members. They create cost effective apps and also offer texting services for your business.
Please use the app to access our social media and let us know how you use this new service!
Give The Gift of Nebraska

The next time you are thanking a client, customer, employee, family member or friend, give them a gift of Nebraska.
Our GROW Nebraska Buy Local stores have a wonderful supply of art, gourmet foods, clothing, books, jewelry and more that represent entrepreneurs from across the state of Nebraska. The incredible staff will create gift baskets for you based on your needs and wishes. They can create one or more of these as needed but keep in mind that GROW Nebraska offers a volume discount.
We have recently added custom gift cards that can be printed with your logo or graphic. These can be spent at our physical or online stores.

An Interest in Pinterest and Google+

GROW Nebraska is now on two of the newest social media sites,
Pinterest and
Google+.
Full of inspirational photos, Pinterest is a great place to promote photos of members’ art, recipes and products.
Pinterest’s mission is to "connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting." There is mounting evidence that says that buyers coming through Pinterest spend more money than those coming from Facebook. Be sure to re-pin items on GROW's pinboard to let others know about the great products we have in Nebraska!
Google+ is also a new social media site sweeping the internet. Similar to Facebook, Google+ is unique in that contacts are divided into circles and hangouts and you can design your message for each group instead of a general blast to all of society. They have a more organized approach that they believe is more like real life.

Save the Date: Social Media Trainings
Social media is not just a rage but it is a cost effective way to connect with literally thousands of people.
GROW Nebraska, Constant Contact and SBAM/AIM Institute will be sponsoring workshops in Grand Island on August 22, Fremont on September 20, and Scottsbluff on October 18. Mark your calendars and sign up for our texting service to receive sign up information.
Mentoring: It’s All About the People
Since 1998 GROW Nebraska has offered mentor services through our dedicated members. Recently Cheryl Hughes of
HR Poppin' Snacks spent over four hours with Sheri Dykeman, of
Out of the Blue Dressings and Dips working on labeling, packaging, marketing, retailing, cost analysis, break even analysis, distribution, UPCs, lot tracking, ingredient acquisition and more. Sheri is working toward being ready to market her dressing by State Fair time.
GROW assists those in need of mentoring by connecting them with seasoned veterans that can assist them with a variety of business needs. The list is long but would include training and working with businesses on things such as:
- Labeling
- Packaging
- Production Facility Requirements and certification according to USDA, FDA and State Health regulations
- Ingredient Acquisition
- Production Management
- Cost Analysis
- Pricing in the Wholesale and Retail Market
- Licensing Needs and Requirements
- Product Development
- Marketing
- Inventory Management and Ordering
- Customer and Vendor Relations
- Web Sites
- Social Media
- and much, much more
