Ogallala Bay Rum owner John Marquis will be honored as Mentor of the Year by GROW Nebraska. The award ceremony will take place at the 2017 MarkeTech Conference on March 16, 2017. John will join previous GROW Nebraska Mentors of the Year when he takes the stage to receive his award.
Each year GROW Nebraska members recommend a member who has stepped up to provide mentoring to other members. The Mentoring Member Program encourages members to reach out and share their expertise to help other members reach their business potential. John has been a member of GROW Nebraska since 2002. He is a partner in the Ogallala Cream Can Company, which is also a member of GROW Nebraska. John continuously takes advantage of GROW Nebraska training programs, MarkeTech Conference, GROW Nebraska Kearney and Grand Island retail training centers, BuyNebraska.com and GROW Nebraska eBay store. John is always willing to offer suggestions and recommendations to help the program better serve our business members. “John is the type of business person all the members and staff enjoy working work. It has been a true pleasure watching his business evolve into a thriving business. It really makes the work we do worth it when we get his notes telling us GROW Nebraska rocks! ” stated Janell Anderson Ehrke, GROW Nebraska’s CEO.
About John Marquis and Ogallala Bay Rum
We are NOT a huge faceless corporation. Ogallala Bay Rum is a small (but steadily growing) family-run business with a few dedicated employees who help us out as well!
And yes, all products are made right here in Ogallala, Nebraska. Obviously we cannot source all of our raw materials locally but we support our local small-town economy as much as we can. For instance all of our labels, etc. are printed at our local print shop. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Ogallala Bay Rum is a proud member of the Ogallala Chamber.
